A unit is each individual event ingested into the platform — spans, traces, and scores all count as one unit each. For example, an LLM generation span, its parent trace, and any evaluation scores each count as one unit.

On the Free plan, data stops being ingested once you hit 20k units. On the Growth plan and above, additional units are billed at $10 per 100k units.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your settings page. Changes take effect immediately.

By default, your data is stored in GCP us-central-1 in a ClickHouse database. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Enterprise customers can deploy a self-hosted data plane to keep trace data within their own infrastructure — no agent data leaves your network.
